Responsibilities
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to established guidelines.
- Guarantee timely meal production with adequate portions for all service areas.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of kitchen ingredients and supplies.
- Prepare daily items as outlined in the menu.
- Ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Train new staff to equip them with necessary skills for their positions.
- Assign tasks to kitchen staff according to menu requirements.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure duties are completed correctly.
- Provide feedback to employees to support skill development and improvement.
- Address any staffing concerns fairly and promptly.
- Minimize food wastage by closely supervising preparation techniques.
- Implement proper storage procedures to maintain food safety and reduce spoilage.
- Educate staff on and enforce safe workplace practices.
- Support team members in cleaning the kitchen at the end of each shift.
- Keep personal workstations consistently clean and sanitary.
- Take charge in the kitchen.
- Arrange roster and menu design when required.
- Assist in daily departmental operations.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Owner.
- Monitor and manage department budgets to ensure cost control and efficiency.
Qualification
Skill & Experience
You must have minimum 6 months work right in Australia.
- Confident in English.
- Very passionate in the job.
- Team player.
- Positive attitude.
